This is great – there aren’t many people laying open the process of design composition on the web or in print. This could be expanded into a much larger post – or a blog on it’s own, with tutorials (or simpler breakdowns if you don’t want to give away too many secrets!) on the different techniques used. I am interested in the hi-res retouching for example – I’ve done a fair amount of retouching, but hi-res? Not sure about that. Also, the reasons for selecting images, cropping and adjusting – this kind of designer opinion, knowledge and know-how would be unique. I am speaking as a designer turner lecturer, always on the lookout for good resouces for graphics students (mine will be popping in here before too long!) and would like to encourage you further in these types of posts.
Great blog, love your work.
