Trevor, I love the Avant Garde leaning ‘A’ and ligatured letters! I was really inspired as a student by Herb Lubalins work and have always looked for an opportunity to use that font ever since. To my great disappointment it’s never happened and now you’ve beat me to it. B*******S!
I’ll send you a pdf with all the Avant Garde ligatures. Next time we meet I’ll go on for ever about the use of this typeface – it’s one of my favorite type rants. Herb is great – his eye for other peoples work too. Very much his own man.
