Here’s something I’ve just painted tonight. I’m not sure whether it’s finished yet.
It’s from 3 photos taken by me in low light on NY eve; I like the triangle of looks between the son, sister and father, it gives a bit of dynamism.
I wanted to keep the work free. I started off a few weeks ago with some pollyfilla, then used tester pots of emulsion, blackboard paint and a little acrylic. There is the use of one of my favourite art lessons: red goes forward , blue goes backwards. There’s warm and cold greys too. The brushes got smaller as I went along. It’s 45x35cm.
