A self portrait.
Painted for the NPG portrait award but never sent.
This explains the rather confrontational aspect, I wanted something in your face.
There was no-one else around to paint.
Painted from life and a passport photograph.
Oil over charcoal, chalk and pastels on wooden board.
Rather large, around 170x110cm.
