Life Drawing 24.05.13: The Actor as life model.

Two 45 minute poses concntrating on the head, with a few body poses to warm up with.
As you can see, two different approaches. A more more curved line gives more information, the hatching approach is more aggressive and graphical. Oil pastels, pencil, charcoal and chalk.

IMG_7111IMG_7113IMG_7115 The drawing class, which I recommend highly is at the Mary Ward Centre, a charming and utopian place near Holborn, London. A very good veggie café as well. How I love adult education.

    The sketches of the face are very good it shows how strong his character is, perhapes an ex army person? You certainly excell at faces.

      He was an Actor. I think he plays butlers. Very nice chap, we had a little chat about who he would have liked to have been painted by in art history. He chose Vermeer.
