A friend has commissioned me for a portrait and I’m happy to oblige. She came round and I made some preparatory sketches.
Here’s the same image in black and white. You can see how fast I’m working in the marks. It’ nice and 3D, due to the process of using colours in layers.
This was made on an A2 sketchbook with oil pastels.
These two are on A0 cartridge paper – thanks to the brilliant Oldacres printing for doing me a deal.
