Life Class 2: 24/01/14 Man with the anchor tattoo.


Acrylics applied with a sponge, then two different sized brushes. The paper was taped to the wall opposite the model.


Masking tape, acrylics and a black oil pastel.


This class was all about proportion, the figure on the right seemed to be correct height wise but was all over the shop width ways, hence the pinkĀ  surround.


The warm up drawing. The space around the subject is getting more and more important. Aura? Context? It’s not negative space, that much is certain.

    How funny, I was looking at Howard’s work the other month, his technique is fantastic. There is something funny about Egon Scheile does fashion illustration… All those skinny narcissistic people. He is one of the best. Him and David Downtown.
