Life Drawing 7: Barry as King Lear

There is something very good to draw about this much in demand model. People project and you react to this when putting the marks down on the page.
For some reason the narrative of King Lear’s first scene came to mind with this pose.
A man of strength (with a hint of frailty) dictating his will to others. See here for more.
Previously Barry has been cast as the richest of the Romans, Crassus.
The work was made on the ground, looking up, hence the perspective.
This image will be worked on. He might gain a crown, or have one lying on the floor…
