Very sad to be drawing pictures of Bowie from the 1970’s at my age.
This was from a picture taken by his friend Warren Peace. I liked the brooding look and decided instead of doodling nothing in particular to keep doodling this one image. This coloured sketch was then scanned in and chopped about until the features were more in proportion. After I decided to add high and low lights in jagged manner.
I’m still not sure why I did it – does it add anything that the photo didn’t have? Hmm..
